We Mean Business Coalition Grants Advisory Committee (Volunteer)
The We Mean Business Coalition is recruiting additional members of our Grants Advisory Committee. This volunteer committee will be comprised of 6-8 members who will review, critique and provide a non-binding recommendation for grants approval informed by We Mean Business strategy.
Profile of Grants Advisory Committee Members
These individuals will be independent reviewers with deep technical and sectoral expertise on climate change, particularly around business action on climate. We are seeking reviewers who have:
- Current and relevant knowledge in the fields of energy systems, transport, built environment, supply chains, industry, and nature-based solutions related to business and policy.
- Depth of experience with corporations, finance, policy, academia, government and international/multilateral institutions.
Role and Responsibilities
Reviewers will make a commitment to review grants 2-3 times per year, having approximately one week to review grants prior to a full 2-3 hour long committee session to discuss and critique grants, generally done via video conference. We may, from time to time, request that reviewers convene in person, though this would not be more than once per year and with careful consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic. All expenses for any travel will be covered by WMBC.
The position will be for three years with an option to renew. All reviewers will confirm compliance with participation requirements and certify that there are no conflicts of interest.
