In January 2026, almost 3,000 leaders from business, government, civil society and academia, representing almost 130 countries, will gather in the small alpine town of Davos, Switzerland, for the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.
Clean energy momentum is unstoppable. WEF’s Global Cooperation Barometer 2026, surveying nearly 800 business leaders across 81 economies ahead of the Summit, points to positive energy trends, with increased financing and global supply chains driving record clean energy deployment by mid-2025.
Alongside the main programme, several business-focused events will take place throughout the week in Davos including our Business Leaders Breakfast.
Business Leaders Breakfast: Davos 2026

Amid a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape, the narrative around climate action has evolved since we last convened in Davos.
Rising concerns around energy security, affordability and industrial resilience are reshaping how businesses and governments approach the transition. In this context, electrification remains one of the most effective means to drive decarbonization, build energy security and increase the competitiveness of companies and economies. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, we will take stock of the current state of corporate climate action and explore approaches to accelerating the global shift to electrified solutions, powered by abundant, resilient and affordable clean power.
Our Business Leaders Breakfast will convene senior executives across sectors and industries to explore how we can unlock enabling policies, strengthen market signals, and scale technologies needed to decarbonize power, industry, buildings, and transport.

Hosted by InTent, Business for Nature and The B Team, this workshop will explore how government financial incentives can unlock – or block – business leadership on nature. Today at least US$2.6 trillion in public spending still drives harmful outcomes. Redirecting even a fraction could reset market signals, level the playing field and mobilise capital into regeneration and innovation. Through focused dialogue and concrete examples from governments, companies, investors and civil society, participants move beyond definitions to identify where coordinated, practical moves can flip finance from destructive to regenerative.

Water is no longer just an environmental issue; it’s a business imperative. Global freshwater demand is projected to exceed supply by 56% before 2030, and as much as 60% of global GDP depends on reliable access to water. This growing imbalance threatens economic stability, supply chain resilience, and long-term growth.
CDP and Ecolab will run an event during the World Economic Forum in Davos, focused on helping global businesses manage water risks and opportunities more effectively and overcoming water-based challenges both now and in the future. This event will present contextual data and research from CDP’s annual flagship Corporate Health Check, and demonstrate how disclosure and operational data can be turned into measurable improvements, increased resilience and enhanced business value
2nd Annual Corporate Health Check: Business Growth Within Planetary Boundaries

Using insight CDP are surfacing with the release of the 2nd annual Corporate Health Check alongside the Oliver Wyman, this accredited event will outline key trends in companies’ use of environmental transparency to facilitate business growth in 2025 and offer insight into how developments in this sector will impact future direction. Using CDP disclosure scoring and methodologies to demonstrate corporate performance in 2025 / 2026, this session will uncover where earth positive actions are an increasingly core element for companies’ growth, resilience, sovereignty and security.
Building on the details shared in the 2026 Corporate Health Check, this event will take a step further and consider the role technology has in assisting businesses to turn data into insight. Technologies such as AI can help overcome barriers holding businesses back, identifying the unseen levers which can drive performance and identifying trends otherwise unseen with the data.
By focusing on the critical link between environmental transparency and true business growth, and the role technology has in facilitating greater insights, this event will support the World Economic Forum’s goal to develop a long-term blueprint for capital allocations fully aligned with climate and nature-positive actions.
