New business checklists launched to help companies shift away from fossil fuels

We Mean Business Coalition has released the new guidance Fossil To Clean Business Action Checklists to help companies take immediate steps toward phasing out fossil fuels and scaling up clean energy solutions.
While global momentum for clean energy is growing, emissions continue to rise and climate risks are intensifying. The checklists provide clear, actionable guidance for the next 2–5 years, enabling businesses to decarbonise core operations, cut fossil fuel use, and boost clean energy adoption.

Designed for companies of all sizes and sectors, the checklists were developed in collaboration with industry leaders including Coca Cola Europacific Partners, Roche, Fortescue and Inditex. The guidance offers practical steps, tools for implementation, and real-world examples across key areas like energy efficiency, electricity procurement, building operations, business travel, and fleet management.
This resource builds on the Fossil to Clean Principles for Global Fossil Fuel Phase-out, giving businesses a full roadmap – from long-term targets to immediate actions – to realise the benefits of the transition: cost savings, energy security, and resilience to economic and regulatory shocks.
