“The Energy Independence Bill is an important signal that the UK intends to move faster on the infrastructure and technologies businesses need to invest, grow and compete – from clean power and grids to industrial electrification and storage.
“For business, this is increasingly about economic stability as much as climate ambition. Companies want predictable energy costs, faster grid connections and long-term policy certainty. Countries that can deliver affordable clean electricity at scale will have a major competitive advantage in the global economy.”
