GRANTS

The goal of We Mean Business Coalition is clear, consistent and science-based: to halve emissions by 2030 and transition to a net zero economy by 2050.

To deliver this goal, the Coalition deploys a range of strategic business and policy action. We play a vital role within our ecosystem in convening partners, incubating ideas, co-designing projects and aligning efforts for maximum impact.

Through our grants programme, we mobilize philanthropic funding to invest in portfolios of initiatives that have the potential to realize a net zero economy at speed and scale.

We use our grants to strengthen our collaboration with our partners and create programs that build on the strengths of each partner. This ensures cohesion, convergence and reduces fragmentation.

Please be aware that we review grant submissions by invitation only.

IMPACT

Over the past decade, We Mean Business Coalition has invested nearly $64 million in delivering impact across the corporate climate community. We have facilitated and supported major initiatives that are driving impact, collaboration and innovation towards resilient prosperous economies.

As a result, the number of companies globally setting science-based emissions reduction targets has grown from just a few in 2014 to more than 23,000 today.

Coalition-backed demand-side initiatives have also helped create and shape markets for lower-carbon products and industries around the world. Alongside this, our work with grantees continues to support collective action for system and policy change.
